Spicy lamb with nuts

The lamb meat is tasty, lean and delicious cooking for longer periods like this recipe. Now combine it with spices to enhance flavor, and nuts for energy.

This Spicy Lamb with nuts is ideal for preparing in winter, as it provides the heat and energy needed to withstand the intense cold. On the other hand, I'm making some changes to the traditional stew that will allow us to reduce the caloric values without reducing taste.

Green risotto

Risotto is a traditional dish of Spain that combines rice with cheese, butter and cream. In this case we will make a healthier version, with some replacements and addings that allow us to maintain -or even increase- the flavor and reduce calories.

I'm also adding vegetables to this Green risotto to reduce the amounts of fat and add fiber, balancing the dish and increasing its variety.

Oatmeal Cookies

Once again I bring you a sweet recipe that attempts to meet two goals simultaneously: Eat healthy and wealthy at the same time, in this case based on the properties that oatmeal gives us.

With this Oatmeal cookies, we have an almost perfect combination of nutrients for a good breakfast, and with a couple of tweaks we can use it for a delicious preparation to enjoy.

Sea kabob

In the summer we don't want to turn on the oven and it's important not to eat foods that are difficult to digest. Today I present an easy, quick and healthy recipe (and also light).

This Sea kabob combines seafood with peppers, rich in fiber, allowing us to enjoy the best Mediterranean flavors with fewer calories. It also includes the benefits of shellfish for the good cholesterol.

And the best part is that we can do all the preparation in the pan or even in the microwave.

Rose juice

I am fully aware that this preparation is an eccentricity. Something that many of you have never seen, and may not dare to prepare.

I only tell you that if you dare, you'll discover a taste you didn't think could exist. With this preparation, you can adde a particular aroma and taste to traditional foods and desserts. And the people who will eat your meals will ask: How did you achieve that unique taste?

Mediterranean Fettuccine

Mediterranean flavors are definitely one of my preferences. They have the great advantage of providing healthy ideas to traditional recipes we usually do, without losing sight of quick preparation and cooking time.

Who doesn't enjoy a pasta meal? Who doesn't enjoy feeling healthy? Who doesn't enjoy a quick and easy recipe? Most Mediterranean preparations have all these features and more.

Spinach and ricotta cannelloni

Another tasty and healthy version of a traditional Italian pasta dish, ideal for a family Sunday afternoon. Spinach and ricotta cannelloni.

My wife is an expert in the preparation of delicious homemade cannelloni. Of course I couldn't help change her recipe to continue enjoying this dish but with a reduced calorie version.

Pumpkin patties

After the eccentric recipe of my last post, I propose you a more traditional preparation in healthy foods. This is nothing more -and nothing less!- than the well-kown Pumpkin patties.

The egg substitution I propose is excellent for people with high cholesterol levels, as well as the pumpkin provides a lot of energy with just a few calories.

Wonton and dip

As you have noticed, many of the healthy preparations that I propose in this blog are not usually known to be healthy by people, but this is not because they aren't, but because they often are associated with sodium canned ingredients, or with excess of chemicals or preservatives.

But these same preparations can easily be replaced or varied, increasing protein and reducing the amounts of saturated fat. So in this case, I will propose an extreme variation of a typical preparation both in America and in Latin America: Chips and dip, but with a substitute that makes up our dish. Wonton and dip.

Quesadillas

In this case I wanted to propose to you a different breakfast. An alternative to begin the day with more energy, with a Latin American style.

Or, if you prefer, you can prepare this recipe for lunch. It is a dish of Mexican origin, with some variations to make it easy and more healthy: Quesadillas.
